There is one wooden grain elevator remaining in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. It is now an art gallery. It was built in 1948 by the Alberta Wheat Pool. In 1982 it was moved to a new location and opened as an art gallery in October 1983.
At one time there were eight elevators in Dawson Creek. The Pioneer elevator shown above was previously owned by UGG. It was destroyed by fire and appears to have been rebuilt. The current elevator is located just east of town.
