Richardson International (web site) is a large family-owned agricultural business that has operated in western Canada for more than 150 years. It is a subsidiary of James Richardson & Sons, Ltd. which was established in 1857.
Richardson made a bid for UGG during the mergers at the beginning of the 20th century. In 2013, Richardson acquired 19 grain elevators from Viterra when Glencore purchased Viterra, along with the Can-Oat Milling business and one port terminal in Thunder Bay. Elevators acquired included:
