At one time Basswood, Manitoba had three grain elevators owned by the Manitoba Pool. The last elevator was the “A” elevator, built in 1926 and expanded with a new annex in 1969.

There was a “B” and a small “C” elevator as well. The “A” elevator’s cupola was rebuilt sometime between 1989 and 1992.

The elevator was demolished sometime after 2000.
