There are two grain elevators in Elm Creek, Manitoba – a former Manitoba Pool elevator and a Cargill high throughput elevator.
Manitoba Pool
The wooden grain elevator in Elm Creek was formerly owned by the Manitoba Pool and was closed in 2001. It is privately owned now and is part of a large agricultural complex.
Cargill
The concrete Cargill grain elevator in Elm Creek was a pioneer in concrete elevator construction in the Canadian prairies. This elevator was built in 1976 and is a near twin to one in Rosetown, SK. It has its own locomotive for switching grain cars. It is on the CP Glenboro subdivision.
Paterson
There was a Paterson grain elevator in Elm Creek. The elevator appears to have been an older design, with a balloon annex.
