The facility west of Virden is a former Louis Dreyfus grain storage facility. It was sold to Parrish & Heimbecker in September 2019.
The facility has its own small locomotive to move grain cars. It is served by the CP Carberry subdivision.
There is a former Manitoba Pool grain elevator just northwest of Virden. This was the Virden-Hargrave elevator.

Today it is privately owned and may not be in operation any more.
