The town of Rouleau, Saskatchewan became the fictional town “Dog River” for the hit TV show “Corner Gas”. The Rouleau grain elevator was lettered “DOG RIVER” and a fake gas station was built.

At one time, Rouleau had six grain elevators – as seen below. These elevators included a Malden Elevator Company elevator and Saskatchewan Pool Elevators #11.

The Rouleau / Dog River grain elevator was destroyed by fire on the morning of November 5, 2021.
